First day of public school

Julia and Evan ready for the 1st day of school. We had a few tears, but Julia loved it and Evan is still getting use to all the change.

This is my favorite pix from that morning!

Allison is 4!

Happy 4th Birthday Allison!
Allison asked for a Snow White party this year.
We had apple cupcakes and a Snow White cake.
I don't usually do a whole lot to decorate, but I saw this idea and had to make it for the party.
We played the 7 dwarfs ring toss.
Allison started the night in her Snow White dress, but after a few costume changes ended up in Cinderella.

Good thing Natalie had her Snow White dress on!

2 Weddings and a Birthday!

Most important, Julia turned 8!
She had a great day, with a soccer game and a karaoke party. Her present from us was a trip to Seattle. This Saturday she will be baptized and she is so excited.
Last summer I was thinking, no one we know is getting married. We hadn't been to a wedding in awhile, but in the last month we went to 2. The first was in Santa Fe over Labor Day weekend. My friend from middle school, Katie, got married. It was a very memorable day, during the Indian ceremony, we ended up in a huge rain storm.
Then, last weekend my cousin Ariana got married in Seattle.
I took Julia and Natalie and we had a great time. We spent a lot of time visiting with family and touring the city. Julia loved every minute of it and wanted to stay longer.
After the ceremony
The reception was at the Space Needle.
Ariana with my nephew Joaquin and Julia.

Natalie had a good time too!

Allison is 3!

Allison turned 3 this month. It is hard to believe, it seems like we just brought her home from the hospital. We were busy with school and swim team when her actual birthday came around so we had to do more of a birthday week long celebration.
Allison is my wild child, she knows what she wants, when she wants it and how she wants it. She keeps me on my toes, I think I could write an entire blog just about the crazy and fun things she does on a daily bases, that is if she would let me be on the computer for more than 5 minutes at a time.
Here are some pictures from her birthday week.
Allison @ Build-a-Bear, building her Blizzard Bear that she named Panda.
She wanted a "Be Our Guest" party, here she is dressed as Princess Belle.

Eating her birthday cupcake.

When Julia turned 3 we took her on her birthday to get her ears pierced. We thought we would continue the tradition and take Allison on her 3rd birthday. She was grumpy and crying before we even started and the woman piercing her ears was not helping. She took forever to find the earring and to set up the process, so half and hour later, we got this wonderful birthday picture.

Her Name...

An explanation of how Natalie got her name: We named are first three with names that we liked, and more importantly names that we agreed on. After we has Allison I realized that our kids initials were J, E, A and that if we had a forth and their initial was N, that would spell Jean. Why Jean, well that is my middle name. I thought we would have a boy next so I was trying to sell Stephen on Nathan or Nolan, he was not interested. Good thing we had a girl! Girls N names are kind of limited since Stephen doesn't like any name that he thinks is "made-up" so we finally agreed on Natalie and gave her the middle name Jean since she completed the name and it is a family name.
Here are the latest pictures of Miss Natalie Jean, taken this morning.
She is getting nice and chubby, and I love it.
